This summer, 16 AVE team members from New Jersey participated in the Corporate FunRun at Meadowlands Racetrack to support Tackle Kids Cancer, and 12 AVE team members from The Greater Philadelphia Area participated in Corporate FunRun Greater Philadelphia 5k at Montgomery County Community College to benefit Max Cure Foundation.
Corporate FunRun’s mission is to promote team-building and health and fitness within companies while giving back to the community. Tackle Kids Cancer, the official charity of Corporate FunRun North Jersey 5k, is a program supporting the Children’s Cancer Institute at HackensackUMC. All donations made to Tackle Kids Cancer benefit essential clinical care, unique support services, and ground-breaking cancer research to find a cure. Max Cure Foundation, the official charity of Corporate FunRun Greater Philadelphia 5k, is a non-profit that funds research and treatment for children with cancer, along with providing financial assistance to families in need.
“This made me so proud that so many team members showed up and wanted to participate – from maintenance to asset to resident services to sales to management,” says Lea Anne Welsh, president of AVE and COO of parent company Korman Communities. “They understood it was such a good cause and they wanted to go out and be together to raise money for children’s cancer research and treatment.”
