MEET JUAN MANCEBO, MAINTENANCE MANAGER

“WORKING WITH MY TEAM TO HELP OUR RESIDENTS GIVES ME THE GREATEST SATISFACTION. I LOVE RECEIVING RESIDENT SURVEYS TO UNDERSTAND OUR STRENGTHS AND OPPORTUNITIES SO WE CAN PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE. WHETHER IT’S A SIMPLE FIX OR MORE COMPLEX, I LOVE RESOLVING MAINTENANCE REQUESTS FOR OUR RESIDENTS TO DELIVER CAREFREE APARTMENT LIVING.” 

As a Maintenance Manager at AVE Somerset, Juan oversees the maintenance team to ensure apartments are move-in ready and maintenance requests are successfully completed in a timely manner. He ensures his team members are fully supported in their roles by reviewing their weekly make readies, providing guidance on repairs, and ensuring they have all the necessary supplies through inventory management.  

Q: What is a typical workday like for you?   
I start each day with a team meeting to catch up on pending items and review our schedules. Throughout the day, we take on any challenges that may arise and work through them as a team. My favorite part of all is motivating everyone to meet our goals! 

Q: How long have you been working in this industry?  
I have been in the industry for 12 years. There’s always something new to learn and I love it! 

Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE team?  
The ongoing support from every team member at AVE! 

Q: What is your favorite amenity or service at AVE Somerset?   
I have a few favorites! The self-service package room is great since residents are notified immediately when they receive a package. The pool is amazing as well. I can’t forget our complimentary hot beverage station either. It instantly serves fresh coffee! 

Q: What is your hometown?   
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. 

Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?   
I love spending time with my family, especially my daughter. She puts a smile on my face!  

Q: What is your favorite spot in Somerset and why?   
I’m still on the search for my favorite spot as there are a few eateries I would recommend. 

Q: What are 2 or 3 fun facts about you that we might not know?   
I collect sneakers, and love cars. When I was younger, I was an avid boxer/kickboxer.
