As the Engineering Director at The Franklin Residences, Ed works closely with on-site leadership to oversee the mechanical operations of the building daily. He is also responsible for managing apartment and amenity transformations and leading our professional maintenance and painting team members.
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
Every day is busy from start to finish. Our historic building requires special care and I love maintaining the grounds of this one-of-a-kind property.
Q: How long have you been working in this industry?
30 years! Growing up, I worked alongside my father repairing refrigerators. Then I started working at The Franklin Residences.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of the team at The Franklin?
The genuine care each team member has for our residents and iconic building. We can all depend on one another when challenges arise.
Q. What is your favorite service at The Franklin Residences and why?
The service that our dedicated maintenance team provides is my favorite. Our team is the best in the business. Their dedication and quick turnaround time on all service requests is a testament to their commitment.
Q: What is your hometown?
I am a proud resident of the Fishtown neighborhood in Philadelphia. I raised my family three blocks from where I was born.
Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?
I love going to the beach and attending as many Philly sporting events as I can. Go birds!
Q: What is your favorite spot in the Philadelphia area and why?
Philadelphia sports stadiums! If I’m not attending the game in person, then you can find me at Chickie’s and Pete’s watching the game with fellow fans.
Q: What are fun facts about you that we might not know?
I have three wonderful grandchildren with my fourth grandchild arriving in May. My favorite way to disconnect and relax is embarking on a cruise twice a year. I own a total of four properties in the Fishtown and Wildwood area.
