As IT Field Technician — West Coast, Austin is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive support to our communities in Arizona and Texas. He is a dedicated resource to our on-site teams ensuring they have the necessary tools to confidently provide a best-in-class experience to our residents and prospects. This includes working with the IT team to implement new security and lifestyle features as well as maintaining company infrastructure from a hardware and software standpoint. He has a hands-on role and contributes to projects such as equipment installations, network upgrades, and audio and visual enhancements.
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
This role keeps me on my toes! I love that I frequently encounter different challenges and am presented with new learning experiences. A typical day includes collaboration with our partners to manage upgrades and troubleshoot obstacles in existing systems. I also work closely with the on-site teams and AVE’s IT department to implement new processes and support with service tickets.

Four years but have had a passion for IT since childhood.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE team?
Everyone is willing to go the extra mile and support one another. There is a strong sense of partnership and unity at AVE!
Q: What is your favorite amenity or service that AVE provides and why?
The sparkling pool and relaxing hot tub at AVE Phoenix Terra are my favorite. My daughter and I spend a lot of time there!

Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?
I enjoy riding dirt bikes and the adrenaline rush that comes with it! There’s nothing like attempting a new jump or challenging yourself to ride a different course. I’ve also created great memories with my friends and family on riding trips where we camp out at the sand dunes.
Q: What is your favorite spot in the Phoenix area and why?
Top Golf is my go-to hang out spot! It’s just outside of Phoenix and is always a fun time regardless of your golf skill level.
Q: What are 3 fun facts about you that we might not know?
I've owned as many cars as my age, I was an Automotive Technician before moving into the IT field, and frequently rode horses as a child.
