In May, AVE kicked off "AVE is PAWsome" across all
15 locations nationwide to celebrate National Pet Month and give back to furry friends in our communities.
“Our teams interact with our residents and their pets every day, so we understand firsthand the joy and companionship they bring to their lives,” says
Lea Anne Welsh, COO of Korman Communities; President of AVE. “We are committed to creating a pet-friendly environment for all our residents, while continuously seeking ways to support community causes our residents and teams care about.”
Each AVE team collected donations such as beds, toys, food, blankets, and more to support a local shelter of their choice. In total, the teams donated 68 boxes of these much-needed items. Additionally, AVE donated $50 to the chosen shelter for every new pet move-in during May.
Blue Bell Villas in Blue Bell, PA supported
Home at Last Dog Rescue where donations are utilized to provide services and supplies for rescued dogs including vaccines, routine pet visits, leashes, collars, and even major surgeries.
“Home at Last Dog Rescue was fortunate to be able to partner with Blue Bell Villas in the month of May! By receiving their generous donations, we were able to help several dogs get their freedom rides from our southern shelter partners to their Pennsylvania foster homes where they are getting the love and care they deserve until they find their furever homes,” expresses Colleen, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at Home at Last Dog Rescue. “Without such wonderful community support, we would not be able to continue to save these dogs from overcrowded shelters and help them get adopted. We are so thankful to Blue Bell Villas for their kindness.”
Blue Bell Villas is also home to a state-of-the-art, unprecedented,
1/2-acre dog park with dedicated acres for small and large breed dogs that pet residents can enjoy.
